Sydney Mickulin, daughter of Scott and Ami Mickulin, is a junior at Nolensville High School and a member of the Varsity Girls Basketball Team.
She plays the position of forward. This season, she scored 17 points and had eight rebounds in a game against Brentwood High School.
She started playing basketball in a rec league when she was only four years old. From there, she said she fell in love with the sport and started playing in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU).
When asked what inspires her to continue training and competing she said, “Each day at practice, I’m inspired to work hard so I can earn a scholarship to play at the next level.”
Chris Ladd, the girls Head Basketball Coach said of Mickulin, “In our first game playing without Zoe, she had 10 rebounds, six points, and three assists and we won the game at Marshall County. She followed that up with 10 points and three rebounds at Community. She is being asked to play more of a leadership role and stepped up nicely these last two games.”
After graduating from NHS next year, she plans to play basketball at the college level and pursue a degree in Engineering.
