Trystan Wepking, daughter of Phil and Kelly Wepking, is a sophomore at Nolensville High School and a member of the girls soccer team.
Wepking is also a member of the cross country team and plays soccer outside of school, with a club team.
She came in third at the National Championships in club soccer, second at Regionals in cross country and second at the Regional Championships in club.
Her favorite class is AP Euro with Mrs. Leeper. She said, “Even though the reading is grueling, she found a way to make a history class fun and interesting.”
One of Wepking’s biggest role models is one of her friends and classmates, Sydney.
“She is able to balance all honors and one AP, sports, piano, church and several other extracurriculars and she is so responsible… with everything on her plate she manages to be an amazing person,” she said.
Soccer coach, Eric Shelton, said of Wepking:
“Trystan is a dynamic player that has been instrumental in solidifying our back line. The competitive spirit she brings to practice has contributed to our improvement on a daily basis. Trystan’s selflessness in playing central defender is another attribute that sets her apart as a leader on the team.”
After graduating high school, she would like to go to college and pursue a degree in psychology or forensic evidence. She said she is also interested in the Navy, but thinks she would like to end up in law enforcement or the FBI.
