Brian Garcia, son of Chris and Angela Garcia, is a junior at Ravenwood High School and a member of the Varity Football Team.
He plays the position of quarterback for the team and said his biggest accomplishment this season was “getting revenge on Cane Ridge in the second round.”
Garcia said his introduction to football was natural.
“All of my Dad’s side of the family played and I enjoyed it, so I started playing at the age of five,” he said.
When asked what inspires him to train and compete he said, “being the best I can be… winning for the school and teammates.”
One of his biggest role models is professional football player David Presscott. He said Presscott is his absolute favorite player in the NFL.
RHS Head Football Coach Matt Daniels said of Garcia, “[He] had a big second half to help lead the Raptors past previously unbeaten Cane Ridge last Friday. He had 30 yards rushing and one touchdown in the win over Cane Ridge. Brian has continued to grow as a leader and high character student-athlete through the year.”
Other than football, Garcia listed baseball as something he likes to do in his free time.
After graduating from RHS next year, he plans to play a sport—baseball or football—in college.
