Grace Whitmer, daughter of Josh and Barbara Whitmer, is a senior at Ravenwood High School and a member of the varsity bowling team.
The year, she bowled her best game with a score of 161 and a 348 in the 3 game series.
She started bowling last year to “get out of PE 2,” but said she ended up really loving it.
When asked what inspires her to train and compete she said that she owes it to her friends and teammates’ support.
One of her biggest role models is actor Bruce Willis “because he did his own stunts for Die Hard.”
RHS bowling coach Zach Liston said of Whitmer, “In her second year of bowling competitively, Grace has taken on advanced bowling techniques and made appearances in the top three county high scores. She’s also on the newly restarted ultimate Frisbee team and is a leader in a fundraiser to raise awareness to women being sold into sex slavery… Exemplary teammate and community member.”
After finishing at Ravenwood, she plans to attend Belmont University and major in either clinical psychology or audio engineering.
