Bank robber strikes late Friday in busy Cool Springs

FRANKLIN POLICE DEPARTMENT

Franklin Police and the FBI are investigating a Friday evening bank robbery during rush hour Friday evening in Cool Springs.

It happened at the SunTrust Bank, 731 Cool Springs Boulevard, at about 5:45 p.m. The suspect pictured here entered the bank with a gun, threatening staff and a customer inside. Bank employees complied with the robber’s demand for cash, and the suspect fled on foot. No one was injured during the robbery.

The armed and dangerous suspect is a tall, thin white male. He was dressed in all black, wearing a baseball cap, and had his face covered. Getaway vehicle information is currently unavailable.

Workers from nearby office buildings who think they may have seen something that could help investigators are urged to call Franklin Police.
