Centennial drops two games to Dickson Co.

Friday night turned into a nail-biter in the second half in the matchup between Centennial and Dickson County in Franklin. Centennial’s Trey Carlton tied the game late with two shots and then made 2 out of 2 free throws to tie the game that went into overtime.

Though, the visiting team would hold on in OT, winning 58-57.

Centenial girls’ played Friday night against the Dickson County Cougars to see who was the strongest Cougar of them all. The home team would lose this one, 58-26.

GCA wins opening tourney game 

Mason McKnatt must be happy to have the cold weather around to cool his hot hand.

He posted up 41 points Friday in the opening round of the Highlands Latin School Tournament in Grace Christian Academy’s 85-55 win over Cornerstone Christian Academy.

Cole Scott pitched in with 27.

They play in the semis at 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
