Heritage Foundation creates corporate relations position, hires new director of development

The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County has created a new position and hired Sean Sawyer as director of development and corporate relations.

Sawyer will lead the Heritage Foundation’s efforts to grow both corporate and philanthropic support.

“Sean Sawyer is a fantastic addition to the Heritage Foundation team,” said Bari Beasley, the CEO of the Heritage Foundation.

“Sean spent the past decade at Belmont University, successfully working in the areas of sales and sponsorship for Belmont Athletics. With a great ability to connect with people and achieve set goals, I am excited to see all that Sean will bring to this new role for our Foundation.”

During Sawyer’s tenure at Belmont, sponsorship revenue increased by over 200 percent and athletic licensing revenue increased by more than 80 percent.

“I am excited about joining the Heritage Foundation team, and I can’t wait to begin working for the betterment of Williamson County,” Sawyer said.  “For over 50 years the Heritage Foundation has been focused on the preservation of the community and culture of Williamson County.  I see it as a privilege to be able to help continue the process of preservation through community giving and corporate support.”

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Sawyer earned a bachelor’s degree in history from The University of Montevallo and a master’s degree in sports administration from Belmont University. Sawyer can be contacted at ssawyer@williamsonheritage.org.
