The Town of Nolensville has set the date for its next budget work session for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins July 1.
The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at Town Hall in the second floor committee meeting rooms.
Mayor Jimmy Alexander, Vice Mayor Jason Patrick, Alderman Tommy Dugger and various town staff members will attend the meeting.
The town held its initial budget kickoff session on Monday, Feb. 28.
As previously reported, “Nolensville’s budget for the current fiscal year showed that the town had a total of $20.4 million in reserves. That budget called for $10.2 million in expenditures, $5.5 million of which was designated for the Sunset Road improvement project.”
That project will represent the largest capital expenditure in the town’s history.
At a March 1 Board of Mayor and Aldermen meeting, Town Engineer Don Swartz said the town was moving quickly toward the bidding process for that project. He said the goal was to start construction some time this summer.
Regular updates on the Sunset Road project can be found on the town’s website.
