OBITUARY: Mary Ann Ward

Mary Ann Ward, age 86, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, passed away on Feb. 11, 2018.

She was born in Maury County, Tennessee, to the late Edgar William Hayes and Margaret Ann Walker Hayes. Throughout her life Mary Ann worked at Stan’s
Restaurant, The Cedar Inn and Pelican/Nukote Ribbon Co. She was a member of the Thompson Station Church of Christ and was a former Alderman and Vice-Mayor of Spring Hill. Mary Ann was a caring, loving, hardworking and Christian woman who always put others first. She will be deeply missed by all
who knew her.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Ellen Jones, Sandra Peach, Charlene Vermillion and Christine Ingram; brothers, Jimmy, Lucius and Jesse Hayes. She leaves behind her daughters, Vivian (Rufus) Reese of Gallatin, Tennessee, and Vickie (Randall) Pedrick of Franklin, Tennessee; grandchildren, Brandi Ann (Matthew) Armstrong, Brent (Lindsey) Pedrick, Richard Reese and Rilla Reese Hanks; 5 great grandchildren; brother-in- law, John Ingram; many other loving family members.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Spring Hill Memorial Funeral Home, the Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday and one hour prior to service Thursday. Burial is in Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Reese, Brent Pedrick, Matthew Armstrong, Austin Collier, Todd Marlin, Charlie Reed, Ben Shapiro and Bobby Ward. Honorary Pallbearers will be Doris Dark, Johnny and Anita Yancey, Jean
Maupin, Thelma Hughes, Betty Boyd, Denise Alexander, Larry Peach, David
Fields, JD Jones, Wayne Robertson and the Adult Sunday School Class at
Thompson Station Church of Christ. Memorial contributions may be made to
the American Cancer Society or the Thompson Station Church of Christ.
