Paul Aldrich & Friends present music, comedy show on Aug. 24

Paul Aldrich & Friends is a one-of-a-kind variety show being hosted by comedian/musician Paul Aldrich at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 24 at Generations Church in Franklin, Tennessee.

The show, produced at the church, 408 Church St. Franklin, TN 37064, features Christian musicians and comedians in an intimate, interactive, and often improvisational setting.

Past guests include singer/songwriter Russ Taff, guitarist extraordinaire Phil Keaggy, and Saturday Night Live alum Victoria Jackson.

This edition of the show features singer/songwriters Bruce Carroll, Karyn Williams and Brian White, plus comedian Kristin Weber.

Sometimes Miracles Hide spawned an Angel Award winning book of the same name. His song Hands Of Hope was nominated for an Emmy. Over his career Bruce has released 10 solo albums and has a new album set for release the spring/summer of 2018.

He’s written theme songs for Compassion International and From His Heart Ministries, and was twice nominated for Songwriter of the Year by The Gospel Music Association. Bruce has also been inducted into the Christian Music Hall Of Fame.

About Brian White. Brian White’s prolific recording career began in 1994 with the release of his self-titled certified-Platinum debut followed by back-to-back platinum selling albums Between Now and Forever (1996) and The Right Place (1997). He released six No. 1 singles – “So Much for Pretending,” “Sittin’ on Go,” “I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore,” “Rebecca Lynn,” “Someone Else’s Star” and “From This Moment On,” which he recorded with Shania Twain – along with eight more Top 40 singles.

His list of honors include a Grammy, recognition from the Country Music Association (1996 Horizon Award winner) and Academy of Country Music (1996 New Male Vocalist winner) plus five CMT Awards, Canadian Country Music Awards and TNN/Music City News Awards. In 1998, White was voted one of People magazines “50 Most Beautiful People.”

His songwriting credits include cuts with Wynonna, LeAnn Rimes and Joe Diffie, while Sawyer Brown (“I Don’t Believe in Goodbye”) and Diamond Rio (“Imagine That”) both reached No. 3 on the charts with songs penned by White.

About Karyn Williams. A dynamic woman with a powerful life story, Karyn is the eldest daughter of Orlando Magic Senior Vice President & Founder, Pat Williams.  Her international family includes nineteen children, fourteen of which are adopted from all over the world.
In the Fall of 2011, Karyn signed a record deal with Inpop Records becoming label mates with the Newsboys, Jaci Velasquez & Matt Kearney, and released her first full length studio album Only You in 2012.  For her sophomore project “Letting Go of Perfect” released in 2015, Karyn enlisted the help of Nashville producers Pete Stewart (Toby Mac, Macklemore, Gramma Train), Brian Bunn (Third Day, DecembeRadio) as well as her husband Brian White, and up & comer Evan Sieling.  The album features a duet with fellow CCM artist Danny Gokey.
