Outside of Franklin Road Academy’s huge road upset of Notre Dame, three other Williamson County D-II teams continued their posts season quests with playoff wins.

CPA

First, Christ Presbyterian blasted the doors off of visiting St. George 49-7.

The Lions got up to the final right before half, and let the clock run in the second half.

Senior wide receiver Noah Henderson, who will visit Stanford this weekend, took in a 82-yard touchdown return to start the game, and CPA never looked back.

QB Kane Patterson ran in a 52-yard score to follow, and QB Ryan Eledge linked up with WR Brent Nabors for the 21-0 lead.

Ethan Stewart got a score after, and Payne Trapnell met the first St. George’s score with a kickoff return for touchdown to get CPA the 35-7 lead.

Once Eledge and Henderson, old friends and longtime teammates, linked up for the sixth Lions touchdown of the night, the starters weren’t long for a break. Tyler Reid’s 53-yard score capped things out for CPA at 49.

The 12-0 Lions now go on now to face also-undefeated Lausanne at home for a trip to Cookeville.

BGA

The Battle Ground Academy Wildcats went up to Knoxville and paced things out in their 30-10 win over Webb.

Briston Bennett, a college prospect who got a congratulatory message from Virginia before the game, rushed for 111 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns to lead BGA, while Kaleb Seay spelled him with 79 on the ground.

QB Nick Semptimphelter threw for 129 yards and a touchdown. Jack Sauder kicked in the lone field goal.

The Wildcats will now head back to Franklin next Friday to take on FRA in the D-II Class AA semis.

The team got the best of the Panthers 14-3 on the road in October.

BA

Brentwood Academy had the week off last week, but refused to gather any dust in a 21-14 road victory over host Christian Brothers.

QB Wade Williams rushed for a touchdown and threw one to Jack Victory on the night, while RB Tomario Pleasant rushed one in to help the Eagles get the win.

Aaron Lovins scored a key late-game interception to help keep the home team scoreless in the final quarter.

The Eagles will now head into Nashville to face archrival Montgomery Bell Academy in the D-II Class AAA semifinals for a spot in Cookeville.
