On Friday, 289 Spring Hill High School seniors gathered at the school’s football field to celebrate their graduation, kicking off this area’s class of 2019 celebrations.

Spring Hill High’s Valedictorian of the class of 2019, Deep Patel, said since he was an adolescent, he had been laser-focused on achieving academic success.

“I wasn’t sure I was going to come first, but I was sure I was going to come in the top ten,” Patel said. “I just focused on the task on hand, and accomplished what I needed to do.”

When asked if he had any words of advice for struggling students, he simply said to not be afraid to ask for help.

The Salutatorian was Keili Tucker, with the remaining top ten of the 2019 class of Spring Hill High as follows; Dhruva Patel, Tiffany Alexander, Layla Haynor, Sebastian Stetten, Macy Hall, Daniel Tiammell, Erin Wheatley and Sydney Walker.
