NHS faculty nominated Matthew Williams for their Knights Making a Difference program this week.
Matthew Williams, son of Wade and Shea Williams, is a junior at Nolensville High School and this week’s Student of the Week.
He is a member of the NHS Chess Club and Video Game Club. He also competes in archery. He said that video games are one of his biggest passions.
His favorite class at NHS is Unmanned Aerial Systems class (UAS.) He said he appreciates it for how revolutionary and different it is from all other offered classes.
Scott Crombie, Williams’ Physics teacher, nominated him for Student of the Week.
“Matthew is doing well in the class because he is on time every day, puts his phone in the phone pocket and is ready to learn,” Crombie said. “I really appreciate his quiet demeanor and respectful attitude. He has achieved the highest grade on two of our most recent assignments.”
After graduating from NHS, Williams plans to attend Middle Tennessee State University, where he will get a bachelor’s degree in UAS. Eventually, he would like to work on designing drones.
