Hundreds showed up for Franklin’s first annual Taco and Tequila festival on Saturday afternoon at The Factory.
Inside Liberty Hall, people ate tacos, drank, and chatted while listening to live music. The event, which featured tequila tastings from area tequila distributors, drew a diverse crowd.
Mojo’s Tacos, a restaurant set to replace the recently shuttered Saffire inside The Factory, drew the longest line of the three taco vendors.
Event producer Matt Lowney, the president and chief executive officer of Acklen Park Productions, said the festival sold 1,500 tickets in advance.
“It’s a good first year when you sell out,” he said. “That’s always a positive.”
