Physicians Urgent Care, which has expanded to four locations since opening in Franklin in 2011, marked a major milestone on May 11, seeing its 100,000th new patient.
“We are proud to have served the Middle Tennessee community for the past seven years,” managing partner Dr. Ty Babcock said. “It is our goal to provide convenient, cost-efficient care, and we now have 100,000 people in our community who put their trust in us when they need medical attention. That is a major accomplishment.”
The first Physicians Urgent Care location opened in Franklin in 2011, and a second location was added in Brentwood in 2014. This past August, Physicians Urgent Care expanded into the mixed-use community Berry Farms near Thompson Station, and in November opened its first Nashville clinic in the Nashville West Shopping Center off Charlotte Pike.
“Patients know that when they come to our clinics they will be seen quickly and for a fraction of the cost of an emergency room visit,” Dr. Babcock said. “We are open late seven days a week so patients can get care when they need it. Our 100,000th patient needed care late Friday night. Her only other option would have been an expensive trip to the emergency room.”
Owned and operated by a group of Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians, Physicians Urgent Care walk in clinics offer on-site X-ray, labs and procedure rooms that allow them to treat conditions many doctors’ offices and other clinics cannot. They can handle minor trauma, such as burns, cuts that require stitches, fractures, sprains and dislocations.
“Our goal is to be where you need us when you need us,” Babcock said. “No appointment is necessary, you can walk in at any time.”
Physicians Urgent Care has four clinic locations — 155 Covey Drive, Suite 100 in Franklin, 700 Old Hickory Blvd, Suite 207 in Brentwood, 5021 Hughes Crossing, Suite 165 in Franklin and 6746 Charlotte Pike in Nashville.
